OakEV Camper – Convert any EV charge point into a caravan power supply. This adapter lets you charge your caravan or RV wherever you can charge a car, perfect for off-site camping or driveway use. Operating at 16A, it delivers faster charging than a standard 3-pin plug. Simply plug into the charge point, connect your caravan cable, and press unlock to release. With a 50cm cable (use with your mains extension), the OakEV works with all untethered chargers. Its built-in microcontroller continuously monitors current to keep your caravan safe—supplying only what your site electrics can handle. Safety features include full RCD protection, intelligent connector communication with the charger, automatic shutdown if power demand exceeds availability, and a 16A fuse to prevent overcurrent draw.

 The OakEV Camper is compatible with all untethered chargers (bp pulse/podpoint, etc) this is because of the special microcontroller in the OakEV that constantly measures the incoming current and ensures that your caravan is safe!

 If your caravan can use site electrics, this device will be perfectly safe. It supplies no more power than what you can already draw from the campsite, no matter the power of the untethered charger. 

The devices also contain some extra safety features, some of which are listed below:

·        The cable is fully protected from overloads or short circuits, as it is fully RCD protected

·        The connector lock can be easily released when required - as it communicates with the car charger just like an EV would

·        If the charge point cannot supply the required power, the unit will not engage it, preventing an overdraw of current

·        The product is fused at 16A, you will not be able to draw more current from it than 16A (which is what your caravan should be rated for)
